Timberline Interactive Announces the Launch of A Greater Gift's Web Site, www.agreatergift.org.
Latest eCommerce site contributes to growing portfolio of Internet retailing Web sites developed by Middlebury, Vermont-based Web shop.
Middlebury, VT – October 13, 2005 – Timberline Interactive is pleased to announce the launch of its latest eCommerce client Web site, www.agreatergift.org, for SERRV International, a nonprofit organization based in Maryland and Wisconsin. The full-featured Web site utilizes Timberline’s TICommerce™ shopping platform.
The site launched on September 19, 2005. In a little over a week, the site yielded nearly $40,000 in sales.
“Ultimately, we’re very excited about the whole experience,” comments Serena Sato, marketing coordinator for A Greater Gift. “We are happy that we can make changes to pages easily from our end and that the entire ordering process should be greatly improved. And, the stats already point towards an improved user experience.”
The new site features searchable product categories on the home page, highlighting the commerce portion of the site more prominently. The previous site had the shopping elements buried below the more text-heavy home page, making it less of an eCommerce site.
“While we thought it was critical for A Greater Gift to keep their mission strong on the home page,” adds Bud Reed, vice president of Timberline Interactive, “we also felt that the commerce portion of the Web site was just as critical. We were able to balance commerce and mission on the home page, enabling a better shopping experience for the user.”
Another new feature is that site visitors can now drill down to the details of the group that made a particular product, and then to additional products produced by the group. “Because our mission is about promoting the social and economic progress of people in developing regions of the world by marketing their products, this feature lets us showcase more about our artisans, farmers and others to the worldwide marketplace,” adds Sato.
